March 27th. Steve Hall, Philip Simon, Friz Frizzle. MC Howard Read.
CANCELLED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS, SORRY. WE'LL BE BACK AS SOON AS THIS PESKY VIRUS HAS GONE AWAY.
Steve Hall is a stand-up comedian and writer. He is a regular writer on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky), and in 2017, he supported Russell on his international tour, Round the World. Steve previously supported Russell on his 2014 sell-out national tour, Wonderbox, along with his previous shows, Adventures, Dingledodies and Big Rooms And Belly Laughs. Steve’s Edinburgh Festival successes include his sell-out third show, Zebra –“for sheer unadulterated fun this Fringe, it’s hard to think of too many comedians who will offer the same glee” (The List).Steve wrote on five series of Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC 2) as well as numerous other programmes, such as Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), A League of Their Own (Sky), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky) and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), among others. He is a regular guest on The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio and has appeared as a panellist on The Rest is History for BBC Radio 4.
Philip Simon. Philip has most recently been gigging throughout the UK, as well as a few appearances in New York, Scandinavia, Europe, The Middle East and Auckland. He has also performed at a number of corporate events and private parties."Philip Simon is never less than hilarious" The Stage.
Friz Frizzle is a Songruiner. Armed with a keyboard tie and a piano, he will take the tunes you know and love and mess around with them until you don't want to know or love them anymore. It's better than it sounds.
Starting in 2012, Friz has been up and down the country with his ruined songs and fiddled ditties. Headlining festivals, cruises and comedy clubs. he's also written for other established comedians. His work has appeared on Radio 4, national newspapers and sell-out shows at the West End. "A Master of Musical Comedy" - Comedy Central.
Our MC is Howard Read. As a Stand up Howard Read is brilliantly off the wall. Totally silly, songs and jokes and stupidness. The man is a buffoon of the highest order. And in this business that is a good thing. "Genius" Radio Times.
Impington Village College. Doors 7.45pm, show starts 8.15. Over 18s only. Tickets £10 from www.wegottickets.com/event/498262 or £12 on the door.
Sometimes life gets in the way and we have to change the acts. It doesn't happen very often but we're sorry if it does.
